Error coin?

Can I get some opinions on whether this
may be an error coin? I used a loupe and still didn't
see the initials. The coin is in pretty fair condition.
Its the '71 coin.

if it really isn't there then it is an error. i know that they had the missing initials in 1982 &1983. these were more common so they are worth only about $5. i have never herd of one from 1971 so it may be worth some more $$

It's a little blurry, but I don't see any initials. Should be under the right wing on the back side, between the wing tip and the tail feather. Looks to be an error to me.

Look at it with some magnification even a hint of initials will spoil a no initials coin, The FG on the reverse has a tendancy yo fill up on some of the 70s and 80s half dollars.I have seen a lot of filled dies being sold as no initials coins.

I see something there, could be a filled die. The Cherrypickers guide doesn't list a "no FG" for 1971, either....
