On my way home I stopped at an estate sale, and bought a little box with some assorted stuff in it, mostly old pens and desk type things just because it was only a few bucks and some of it looked old. (and because I saw the case of pennies)
The little plastic cigarette case turned out to be 25 steel pennies!!!!!!!! But it gets better, there is also a 1945 merc, a copper penny blank and a super nice 1909 plain (no V.D.B. %$%#!!!!)

The steel count:
43 plain.....19!
43d............3
43s............3

Not a bad little haul and I got the whole box with some nice old fountain pens too for $3.00!
my scanner hates me so the scans of the '09 really don't do it justice. I'll try to get better ones soon

Jeff, thanks for working on the pics, I guess I just need to break down and get a new scanner that actually does what I want it to and that doesn't have a mind of it's own ;D

Cool Finds! Some of those mystery boxes are amazing
