I came across a used Etrac and not even reading the manual I took it to a park.
Now coming from a fisher f70 I use a lot, this thing was speaking Korean to me. Absolutely no clue what the sounds or numbers meant. I read a bit that the 46 numbers were good so when I heard a high tone I dug.
Using a custom program already in the machine I found a clad half dollar! My first ever.

BWOOOP BWOOOP, hope you can get used to the sounds. I hear great things about the etrac, but personally I'd rather swing your F70. Good luck with your new machine and congrats on digging your 1st half.

Welcome to the dark side. I too once had an AT Pro. This may get me booed and hissed at but I hated that thing. Love my Etrac, though - glad I made the transition, I'm sure you will be too.

Enjoy a good cigar after that hunt!

Just think what you can do when you learn it!

Congrats on the first of many.

Nice find! :occasion14: In time, you will get used to the Minelab language...enjoy the fun of a new machine. :icon_thumleft:

Boo and hiss! Love my AT, wish I could afford the dark side, maybe one day...

Thanks guys! I did just light up a cigar when the 12-45 was pounding pretty hard.. beginners luck!

Don't get me wrong - its a great detector as many can attest to with their finds. Me and the machine just didn't jive, I guess.
