That's true haha. But it wouldn't phase me to leave a plastic bottle of clad change in the ground.

What part of Maine you from Nick? Give me a head start on the cache your burying. :laughing7:

P.S. Capped busts are my favorite. ::)

Haha, well I live in Androscoggin County but I also go detecting in Kennebec, Franklin, and Lincoln County. Good luck finding my cache. :)

Not till someone buries a cash of coins in the Past for
me to Find in the Present.

Although I'm tempted to bury 10,000 Rotted
Zinclons in a hole in the middle of a Park
one day, if I Can't get the Mint
to Buy them :laughing7:

That would be hilarious.

Think it would be a great idea. Like putting a note in a bottle and throwing it into the ocean. I'd put my email address and ask that they tell you when it is found.

Unless you put it in an area where it may not be found for a hundred years or so, then they may not use emails. I'd definatly put my full name and why i buried it.

only problem is if you fill it with today's modern coins they will rot to nothing because of the new materials used to make coins today. not like before when coins were copper silver and gold which don't rot in the ground, but i have sold 1000's of roman coins on ebay and the garbage worn broken cull coins that i wouldn't sell i have thrown in the back yard to confuse future archaeologists :)

There are a few posts like this from years back, do a search and I'm sure you'll come up with a bunch of hits.
