Ever Have One of those week ends??

Well, I got out first off and that is sure a plus!!!! But you ever have a whole week end the was just a bust?!?!? On Saturday morning, PJ (my 8 yo) and I set out to a beach that was put next to a lake about 2 years ago, a lot of people are there over the summer months so I hope to find some clad and maybe some jewelery. We grided over half of it 50yd x 100 yd and this is what we found:

1 Dime (2000)
1 cast iron pulley
18 beer bottle tops
1 costume jewelry ear ring
1 pair of fingernail clippers
lots of wire

PJ and I agreed to split the clad so now I owe him a nickel and my wife did not want the ear ring..

Today I got out early (sorry BavariaMIKE) and should have known that all the stars weren't properly alined and my mojo was way off !! I went to our local scout camp. I don't think it is old but, I am a CubScout leader and know where most of the tents and activities are. This is what I found:

1 7.62 bullet casing
1 aluminum can
2 "old school" pull tabs
1 REALLY large flat piece of iron about 5 pounds
1 modern boyscout neckerchief slide

I really like getting out but, sometimes it's frustrating spending two days and all I get is a dime. :P

Wish I could say that I had only one of those weekends. They tend to show up more than I like... Keep swingin'.....the treasure is out there.

Perhaps you should dump the bounty hunter. I'm sure there was more than just a dime on the beach. I had a bounty hunter.....once... actually I still have it somewhere. I give it to other people to use when we go out..... that way I get all the coins! HH M
