Not as many as garret detector and do they sell cheap they don't hold there value you take a bath when you go to sell a garret,White's on the other hand, I seen White's detectors from the 80'sand 90's sell for more than what they were brand new.
 

I think there are two likely reasons for this:

1. The E-Trac and the V3i are not simple detectors to operate and they require a lot of usage time to get really proficient. Too many folks want simple and instant gratification and aren't willing to put in the time to learn a top end detector. So they dump it.

2. Weight. Both the E-Trac and V3i are heavy, like 5 lbs I believe. They wear your arm out after a couple of hours and that makes detecting a drag. Thank goodness the Tesoros don't have that problem. :icon_thumleft:
 

That is what i figure also.
Complex and heavy.
I am sure they work great but have a steep learning curve.
But the Garretts i dont know why there are so many AT pros used for sale.
