today, i visited the abbey,at a nr by town, the entrance walls to the abbey have seen a lot of activity from the civil war, with musket holes peppering the limestone entrance, blackened at the roof fittings and arch from the door being set alight, upon the roundheads trying to get in, the grass nr by turned up, 5 x 2p, 6 x 1p, 2 x 10p, and 3x 5p, and a £ 1 pound coin, a piece of lead (used for making the musket shot), a nr by large oak tree turned up a medal holder with the medal missing, a silver ring, a sword brooch, shotgun shell end, a soldiers button (wwll),worcestershire regiment...cannon on it. total new currency for the day was £1.98

The last picture is an old drawer pull. Try & get permission for the ploughed fields nearest the Abbey.
