Excal II Dangerous?

Don't know about dangerous EMF, but I have heard that it can be "very dangerous" to hidden gold. :laughing7:

I will protect you, box it up and send it to me.

Blanket statement. What is the source of this tidbit of information? Just curious.

I have a group of .....ummm...politicians that I would like introduce to your Excalibur II. !!!
It will improve their mental ability greatly!!!

Based on what scientific data are you making this claim.

Some dude on a YouTube video I watched had a meter he was measuring the emfs from various mds.

The Transmit field is big but I don't believe it puts one in danger. The detector does see a lot more then it reports. The field of a big coil can reach as far as 3 feet from the coil. I would like to the video of the EMI field.

here's the youtube video:

Who ever is affraid of this and has the Excalibur I will be more than happy to dispose of them for u. Lol

Like the vid but he really does not Demo the experience.

OK
Found one where he shows the experience and seems the strongest EMI comes from the coil, The same field that I'm measuring, which is the transmit field. If he thinks the Excalibur is bad, check the field of a PI detector. Also one must remember this field is dampened when in saltwater. So guys it's safer in saltwater...keep those coils under.....water

LOL, the EMI from my detectors are the least of my worries.......

This is a serious health risk! Upset me so much I'm going to go have another beer & cigarette! :laughing7:

While you're at it, better get rid of your cell phone too. The radiation causes brain cancer.

Bigscoop, I'v got the West coast coverd on the beer LOL, sorry don't smoke some else will have to fill that slot.

Why/how are they measuring EMI "Electro Magnetic Interference"? What is it interfering with?? Really? Using a Radio Shack Sound Level Meter? I'm sure the electro magnetic field is interfering with the sound level meter.... and so is the ambient noise. EMI is not a true measurement... its an observed effect on other electronic devices though one could argue the brain is an organo electric device..... might as well not live with a cell phone straped to your ear and avoid power transmission lines... I'm quite sure they are interfering with someone's organo electric device in this thread.

At the beginning of the thread it started off kind of reasonable using the term EMF "Electro Motive Force" but again EMF is not really being measured in that little video.

The claim that "dangerous" levels of EMF are being generated by a metal detector are unsupported and in point of fact all devices are checked and rated for allowable output power by governmental authorities. Output power, not interference, is what can harm ya. Certain types of frequencies can harm you to if your wearing something like a pace maker. But I don't see anyone running around with a 50 watt transmitter strapped to their arm. Radio waves propagate in a sphere *unless special antenna's are used" and their power drops of at an inverse square to the distance from the transmitting antenna. ie by the time the signal reaches your belly button its power level has dropped off quite a bit.

Silly rabbit tricks are for kids.... just stay away from me lucky charms.

Oh no! I have been sleeping with my Excal next to me!:laughing7::laughing7:
