Looks good except you need to extend it at the top so you can tape or zip tie the earphone cord to the shaft, to keep it coming straight out of the main cylinder, doing this you can avoid down time and costly repairs. Good luck!

2 cents for what its worth.

Run coil wire straight away to at least coupler height... with enough slack for full movement of coil.
Strap with NON metal clip Zip Tie or Velcro strap.

Now...

About that map you have hanging in the background.

Any way I could see a nice picture of it ?

Thx to all for all of the great advice. AARC, here is a phone pic. This is a pic of the country of Kenya in Africa. I went there in 2010 to give recurrent flight instruction to the Kenya Wildlife Service pilots in their Aviat Husky patrol aircraft. The pilots gave me the pic with their signatures as a thank you, so I framed it. Great working with them and the work they do trying to protect the wildlife (mainly elephants and rhinos) from poachers is impressive and necessary.

I had the extension on my S shaft, so since I swing right handed, it was convenient to have the controls facing away for ease of access with my left hand, Did the same with the straight shaft

Thx OBN, the shaft is a piece of 7/8ths OD from the local marine supply store-$8. ID is a perfect fit with no wobble but I added the Plugger shaft clamp anyway. At another members suggestion, I will add a support at the top to anchor the headset cable.
