Excalibur 1000 end cap needed

Upon ware hunting I discovered my lower end cap with the battery and coil wire to my excal 1000 has a stress crack and began to leak into the housing, luckily I checked it and caught it early as water was leaking in. Held it high and sideways to keep from wetting the green board. Got it home, took it apart and dried it out and realized how lucky I really was during an unlucky time.
Does anyone know where I can get a lower end cap to change it out myself without sending it in to minelab?
Any help would greatly be appreciated!

I am looking for the set and the battery as well. Not that I need all of them but would like spares. I bought my 1000 off ebay unfortunately we know what happens when you buy used. You don't get the whole story right...well I learned and moved and become more wiser in my purchases and knowledgeable of the 1000. It's in pieces now but I got it working however I have wanted to do a "pinpoint mod" and need another end cap. My battery cap has the same problem, cracked and I think it happens from overcharging. Just another problem that I inherited from the previous owner.

yea, he's away on the beach looting and looking for a permanent pirate home base(his new home fit for a pirate) !!!! i have seen those on ebay but you will probably pay twice what he would charge!!!!!!

be home later today till Thursday then back to the beach again...will check to see what I have but I think all I have are a few singles...On the battery endcaps my friend Harold in Florida has located the ikelites for the battery pot, but the price is rather high....looking at about 50.00 per endcap but they should last forever. This fall I will do a few.

Thanks OBN. I already bought the new battery but I will buy the alkaline pod. What I want to do is make that pinpoint mod for it. This will be my backup machine to my new ATX!!!
