My Excalibur's ten inch coil is like new but I just noticed that the bottom of the coil (the piece that runs down the Middle) that the shaft attaches to is opening at the seam. Has anyone else had this problem? My signal is EXCELLENT , I do get sand in the space between the coil and this plastic.
I want to know if I clean this out real well and put epoxy over it would it make my sens. weaker ?
What type of epoxy should I use ?
This is not a coil cover but the top part of the coil itself that the shaft attaches to ( the underside of the coil). I hope I explained this so that it is understood.
Thank you very much for any help you can relay to me.
