Experiment for Pendulum Users

Over the past few months we have heard from some people who use Pendulums. I have a experiment that may help some of you. I know it changed what I do with my left hand when map dowsing..Art

A metallic pendulum attached by a wire will take on the charge of the hand it is being held by. A pendulum held by a nonconductive string will take on the charge of the last hand which held the pendulum. The pendulum when rotating above an object of a similar charge will continue to rotate and eventually swing back and forth perpendicular to the object. This pendulum when rotating above an object of the opposite charge will start to swing back and forth parallel to the object being dowsed. Caution here when dowsing an object you have touched the object will usually take on the charge of the last hand that touched it. This can be demonstrated by dowsing over an object such as a table knife depending on which hand touched the knife last an opposite reaction of the dowsing device will be seen.

What do you do with your left hand during map dowsing?

Hey Etowah……I keep my left hand and arm away from the map. Every time I use my ruler I know it has transferred the charge. Before each stage if map dowsing I hold the pendulum in my right hand, touch the map, let it slide out of my hand until I reach the knot on the string. It has become a habit so I don’t even think about it.
The charge does not transfer for some people but it sure does for me…..Art

thanks art. I'm doing some map dowsing on the computer screen. It saves
paper and ink. I use a small spring rod or bobber. I haven't proved it yet if
this method is as accurate as dowsing the map flat. I'll know soon as weather permits
I feel like field dowsing. I have 5 maps ready to go.

Four of these are for gold rings on soccer fields and one for a small cache of silver
coins. I've had very good sucess with soccer fields and other grassy play areas where
young adults and adults play. If it is an area that I'm familiar with ,I often hand draw
a map of the field and dowse it. I use a metal detector to confirm the target and depth
before digging. This also reduces the time in pinpointing the target. I can very quickly
get within 2 or 3 feet of the target with dowsing.

This method sure beats searching an entire soccer or other playing field with a metal
detector. I have some problem with descrimation of targets. Which reminds me of a
post by Bell about a device called Dowse Master, topic # 4, oct. 23, 2008. I'm trying to
contact Bell about this, but haven'y heard from him yet. Can you tell me how to make

I am also using the Computer screen except for the final map. It seems that my printer has become obsolete and ink is hard to find. I have 3 ink black cartridges so I am doing every thing in black and white. I use methods that are explained at

Except that I use Squares instead of triangles. I ask for permission to Dowse the map on the computer screen. Works good for me. I think I know the program you are using but I am more confidant with my pendulum.
Why would anyone want to leave the house without knowing something is there and the general area that it is located? No matter how you map dowse it should put you in the area….Art

Hi art,
I think I will try your squares method, sounds good to really narrow down
the search area. I'm sorry I misspelled Dell's name. What can you tell me
about the Dowse Master he pictured in topic #4 oct. 23,2008?

I have never used the Dowse Master. I do not know who made it. I have found that any information that Dell comes up with is his honest opinion. If it did not work for him he would tell you….Art

What about laying the pc monitor down so it's flat just like a map?

I always ask permission to Dowse a map. When I dowse a map on the computer screen I ask permission to do it. I hold my pendulum over my desk just like it is over a map.I have a Microsoft Digital program that came with my computer. I can draw lines and write on it. It is slower than dowsing a paper map but saves on ink and paper. So far it has worked great for me. I always say thank you when I finish a map…Art
