I was looking into picking up a used Minelab and researching parts and service. I received this back as a reply in regards to previous models parts and service...I don't see the explorer II on it...Good Luck

"Any Minelab products bought new still have the Minelab 3 year warranty (1 year for the Excalibur II) with the exception of the following models:

Eldorado Mark II
Eureka Ace Dual
Excalibur
Explorer S
Explorer XS
FT 16000
Golden Hawk
Goldseekers 15000
Gold Striker
GT 16000
Musketeer
Relic Hawk
SD 2000
Sovereign
Sterling
XT 17000
XT 18000
These models are considered obsolete and are no longer serviceable (repair/parts)."

As far as I know, they still service the Explorer II but no longer repair the Explorer S or XS.
