I am happy to find this website. I know very little, it was my Dad who was the expert. He passed 25 years ago and his shop has remained untouched. I have just gotten to a place in my career where I can spend time going through the shop and discover all the hidden treasure. There are many odd rocks, gems, mineral specimens, tools, etc. that I know nothing about. Posting pictures of some of these items could really save a lot of time and will be a great education at the same time. So, thanks to all the members who contribute in advance. I took a specimen down off the wall that has been hanging there for 39 years, it is now in a display case at my house, but I have no idea what it is or how it could have "formed" in the way it did. I'll attach some pictures. The attachments are done, hope they work. If not, I'll try again later.

So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). You might also consider adding your state (or country) to your displayed profile (SETTINGS -> EDIT PROFILE) so if you ask a question, etc. - members may have more success helping you (your location may help etc.)...

2nd - You might consider posting your Dad's rock related pictures on Rocks/Gems.
