I felt like walking today, just....not digging. So, I started a new technique. I call it Eye Detect. :tongue3:

Now, I *know* we all do this while out there. (If you're not, you're missing a lot!) But, this was different. I went somewhere I know I can't use my detector and just started walking and scanning with my eyes. Its surprising how hard it can be to determine a target worth picking up. (And yes...I picked up trash along the way too. So as to give me more purpose in doing this.)

After a while you start picking out anomalies in the grass that just don't look natural. Then, sometimes, a perfectly circular something will stand out. Nature tends to not make perfect circles. :laughing7:
In any case, an hour and a half, nice walk before the storm. I'm satisfied.

Oh! And by the way? This was an artificial turf field! LoL!

Thanks for peeking!
Stay warm!

Pretty good haul and great exercise, congratulations

No detector needed! Nice finds sir. Congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Congrats on the productive walk. You still found some nice things...:occasion14:

Treasure is where you find it.
Nicely done, and on artificial turf no less!

It is amazing what people lose, and where. Just need to stay stay vigilant in what ever surroundings we find ourselves in. Even when we can't dig, we can still find.

Fishy is up for any variety he can get. Blingie just needs a longer hibernation nap.

Glad your out in the fresh air finding goodies. Keep on keeping on.
I miss that.

What are the cord things?

I've been perfecting my tactics for "eyeballing" for a while now. Always keeping a wide field of view, looking at places where people would most likely lose stuff. I've found more silver doing this in the last few months than I have detecting for years now. It's surprising what's on the surface, like the clad you found from walking around. The best part of it is not digging pull tabs and other junk.
