I felt like walking today, just....not digging. So, I started a new technique. I call it Eye Detect.
Now, I *know* we all do this while out there. (If you're not, you're missing a lot!) But, this was different. I went somewhere I know I can't use my detector and just started walking and scanning with my eyes. Its surprising how hard it can be to determine a target worth picking up. (And yes...I picked up trash along the way too. So as to give me more purpose in doing this.)
After a while you start picking out anomalies in the grass that just don't look natural. Then, sometimes, a perfectly circular something will stand out. Nature tends to not make perfect circles.
In any case, an hour and a half, nice walk before the storm. I'm satisfied.

Oh! And by the way? This was an artificial turf field! LoL!
Thanks for peeking!
Stay warm!
