Noticed sometimes when I turn my detector on it will start screeching real loud The only way to stop it is to turn it off then back on also when I hit a good signal for silver with the probability gauge up all the way it's never silver

What have you done to try to remedy this? Try a reset with instructions below:

Try a RESET function
The F75’s microprocessor saves all settings which you input, even after the power is
turned off.
If you wish to reset the settings to the factory preset, follow this process:
1. Turn detector off.
2. Press-and-hold the red MENU button and
push-forward-and-hold the TOGGLE SWITCH.
3. Turn the detector on, while you are still holding the controls.
4. Release the MENU button and TOGGLE SWITCH.
5. See the F symbol. When the F disappears, the detector is reset.

Do you think you're damaged your F75? Cracked coil, loose or damaged cable? It could be good ol fashioned EMI. Are there powerlines, dog fencing, cellphones, wireless routers, etc near you? Have you tried reducing your SENS?

abandoned farm land no electric ect also when I do a factory reset I get the letters LE on the screen never seen an F this is a F75-SE don't know if the symbols are different or not Has a new coil on it

I get a 7A. It's the software version. Make sure you're pushing FORWARD on the toggle/trigger and holding down the menu button. Keep pressing both and turn the power on, on your detector. Your software version will stay on the screen if you're doing everything right. The second you release it, there screen will show LE.

Yep that's what mine does Thanks for the info now if it would stop showing tree roots as silver Unless money does grow on trees ready to downgrade to the E-trac lol

I saw you posted on Tom's thread. He's a great guy to work with. How long have you had your F75SE? I had the same probably with it acting crazy when I bought mine. It was super chatty. Did the factory reset, did the auto ground balance on a clean patch of grass, and I was good to go. It can get weird on you if you try notching things in. Have you tried switching over to All Metal and seeing if it still acts crazy?

Tom is a great guy The only one I deal with. Had it about 7mos Don't know why it screeches sometimes when you first turn it on the only way to stop it is to turn it off and back on. I had it in every mode lol called Fisher today to ask Felix I guess they have a 4 day work week
