This is one of my prized possessions. It hung in front of my great grandfathers law offices in the 20s/ early 30s. It's quite large and very well made with a wood frame and heavy glass over the gilded type writing. I would NEVER sell this beautiful family arlume but I am extremely curious on possible value range. Signs are far from my specialty so anyone with any info on a possible value would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

An item such as yours is connected by the name of your ancestor to a town/city and therefore will always be worth more their. However, the sign could be worth more abroad if the Law Office handled a famous case or litigation. Remember the name will always tie it to your family, hence, it will always be worth more in its history and Heirloom value. But, if I was to value it because it is from the 1920's-1930's of a certain construction and good condition I would say $300-400.

Thank you for the great info. That's around what I thought but like you said it will always be worth MUCH more then that to me.
