Farms and Buttons

Hello guys, so a few years ago I built a house on top of a farm that existed prior to the America. Revolution. Turns out that the original builders of the development pushed all the top soil onto what would eventually become my lot. I'm now using this top soil to degrade my back yard. As I'm digging through this dirt I'm hitting it with my detector. All I'm finding are colonial buttons. Do you experts find this odd that I have yet to pull a coin out?

Odds are very very good. Use minimal or no discrimination and DO NOT rely on a meter. Some of those little silver cut pieces of 8 are tiny.
