With just a bit of daylight left I told my wife that I was going to run nextdoor for a quick dig (old barn owned by the township and they keep it nice n' mowed). From the minute I stepped out of the car the mosquitoes were on me...I did a speed loop around the perimeter and was getting fairly bit up when it got a nice, deep 84 hit on the AT PRO. A large plug, one waive off the pinpointer and out popped this little Sterling silver ring. . I was back home so quick my wife asked 'what did ya forget?'.

Nice...! I hunted yesterday in a valley, 88 degrees and 85% humidity...along with being soaked with sweat, I saw 2 mosquitoes playing rock, paper, scissors for the last bare patch of skin left on my one arm...meh...I killed it Saturday at a new permission and yesterday...not so much. But congrats on the record fast ring recovery! She's a beauty..Ddf

The mosquitos in central Michigan have been off the charts. I could sympathize with you guys if I wasn't delirious from west nile virus and malaria.

We don't get many skeeters in So Cal. I have friends that fish in Mammoth and Bishop every summer. I politely decline every year. I fish in the cold climates. Hate them bastages They slurp me up like a bowl of jello

Congrats on a quick and really nice ring find!!!

A great natural mosquito and tick repellent is Mint from a peppermint mint plant! Just take some leaves and stems, crush them in your hand and rub it on exposed skin and put some hanging out of a shirt pocket. Works great for dogs too. It is a much better mosquito repellent than citronella and it makes you smell nice too. I planted a bunch around my house this year especially near people areas and they spread out fast so I will transplant more next year. Citronella doesn't survive year round in temperate climates. I got tired of having to buy so many each year and they didn't even work as well.

It is also a great deterrent for those disease carrying varmits like mice and rats that like to stow aboard going after food rations arghhh!

very sweet ring! the flying critters do cause you to hurry up! my wife was trying to open a gate but the wasps kept her dancing around as she dodged them. she returned with some long distant hornet spray...I really think she enjoyed spraying them. so, are you going to teach a course in speed detecting?
