Excalibur or equinox which one is the best for saltwater chest deep or knee

Don’t beach hunt enough to mention but going to Gulf Shores Al. In late Nov. not buying one of those SS yard stick scoops. Plastic’s ideas anybody?

I dont like a plastic scoop its very flexible

Favorite accessory is my finds bag so I don’t fill up my shorts pockets with sand.

Cheap and easy, if your in soft sand on a beach. I've used livestock feed scoops, that I drilled holes into. I drilled 1 with small holes and another with a little bigger, evenly spaced. They are pretty sturdy for soft sand but pretty worthless for normal ground. Definitely going to be packing them in the boat when I go diving and detecting... I have noticed in soft beach sand, I do prefer the smaller holes... I think they were only like $5 each at the local feed store, not your typical pet store, more livestock...

Nice scoops but they are very flimsy

I personally prefer the excal when in the water, NOX is great detector and I do use it at beach, but if I know I'm going in the water I prefer the Excal. I get more depth on my excal with 15"coils.

Only one of those is waterproof....:BangHead:

My Nox has been in water with no leaks, have several hunting partners who have used theirs in the water with no leaks, you tube has videos of people hunting in the water with no leaks.

I am hunting with my equinox in the water and my area was detected with excalibur but i found alot of gold rings silver rings and coins
