Well, February wasn't a great month in terms of finds, but the hunts were a lot of fun and it was great to get out every time. Here's the stuff...

Saint Nicolas pendant - Sterling

Watch...don't know how old...looks like it might say "Hamilton" on the face

Model-T Hubcap - 1917-1927

1904 V-Nickel...heavily corroded, but you can see the date under a loop. Also found a 1948 wheat.

This is the area the hubcap and v-nickel came from...I was hunting with TokenFinder

Nice finds! I was out once this month with a five pound sledge and a chisel and managed to get a .22 slug...it is starting to warm up a bit now so I may be able to get a relic hunt in later this week.

I would be perfectly happy with any of those finds! I still have 1-2 feet of snow on the ground!!

But the weather it is a changin (its been hovering around 35 degrees the last few days and that is what is expected for some time!! )

It is an undeveloped area by a town outside of Houston that saw a large influx of people earlier this century. Lots of early oil exploration ruins. We hunted it partially due to research on TokenFinder's part, and partly because it just looked good on google earth. I think that if we research this site a bit more we could find some hot spots. Thanks to TokenFinder for inviting me along!
