Fellow CRH'ing Members......

You guys/gals probably have missed the presence of one of our fellow members who has been a regular in here for a long time now......PackerBacker (Mike).

I regretably want to report that PB recently has lost a son due to a freak accident....thus his absence from the forum lately. He name was Mat. Mat was 36 and left behind two sons...ages 9 & 7.

We all know the pain of losing a loved one but losing one of your children has got to be devastating.....unbearable. I ask that all of you put PB and his family in your daily thoughts and prayers. Obviously he and his family are going through some very rough times right now especially through the holidays.

PB has been a big benefit to this forum and I personally have missed his presence in here. For those of you that have been in here for some time now know he is an honorable guy and raised his son the same way. Just to give you an idea about the type of guy he is, he didn't want anyone saddened in here with this news prior to the holidays.

PB is aware of this post...so drop him a line....he will appreciate it.

PB - My thoughts and prayers are with & your family. Looking forward to your return with us. Hurry back.

So sorry to hear about this. How shattering to lose a child. For sure we're all thinking about him and hope his grief eases over time. Your family is in my prayers Mike. Thanks LJ for bringing this to our attention.

I have not been a member for very long and do not know Mike but my thoughts and prayers are with you Mike during this difficult time. Nothing anyone can say or do can bring back your son so you will just have to spend more time with those grandkids. They will need you even more now that their daddy is no longer here. I know how much I miss my dad and he has been gone for 14 years now. I had his 100th birthday party for him in Nov. Give those grand kids all the time you can spare and teach them things their dad will not be able to help them with now.

That is devastating.
I think I remember that Mike got his son into Crh'ing and they used to look at halves together.

Thank you all for your condolences. I have lost friends and other family members in the past but never a child. This pain is deep and overwhelming. It feels like it will be never ending. Thank you, Mike

Mike, I can't even begin to imagine the pain that you feel. No parent should have to go through hurt of losing a child. I can think of no greater tragedy. Know that you have made many friends and admirers here on t-net...me being one. Any words that I may say to you cannot begin to ease the pain...but know that you I will help out in any way possible. Sorry about your loss. There's nothing as devastating as the loss of a child. Lost my son in 1991 in the military. God Bless.
