Felt like mixing it up today

I figured to just go 'round for some battery fund change.
And whatever else came with it. When I looked out, it was raining.

But, still wanting to go play, I said, So, let's go play in the mud! LOL

I haven't played in a mud puddle since before there were detectors!
I knew it would be messy, and it was, but, off I went.
Can't remember when I enjoyed getting this dirty! Guess the 2nd childhood has already begun.

Anyhoo, here's the take:




Odd shaped piece of iron.



This is approximately 3 whole pounds of a SOLID piece of iron.
(I just had to know! LOL )



Brass or bronze cup? (it sure was made strong! It's TOUGH to bend!!)



Nothing like a recent drop of an oldie.

Your solid piece of iron looks like an old window weight. They made them in varying weights, including a 3 pound one. The only thing bad about playing in the mud is trying to keep your holes from filling up with water lol.

Yeah, I figured either a window or maybe a dumb waiter weight. It was just interesting to dig up such a HUGE signal!! LOL At least mud isn't
as hard to dig. LOL

Ya know, I wish they'd pass a law that it be required to store one's diamond ring in the same pocket they keep their quarters.

Let me quote a law I read about once:" in hanford, ca (the town I grew up in) it's illegal to stop a child from jumping in mud puddles. "

Now THERE is a law I can live with!!

Nice hunt,, I'm not afraid to hunt in the mud but it will be at least two more days before these down pours stop.
Monday through Thursday look like good days to check out some saturated soil.
