Few more silvers from the "backyard"
Etrac007 invited me to go hunt with him this morning in my neck of the woods, so close to my house, practically my backyard.
First target within 15 minutes of hunting....a wheatie at 4"-5", and then another 3 inches deeper, the 1916-s Barber dime. Got a few wheaties here and there and got a high tone that was breaky....but Etrac007 just dug one of those signals and it ended up being a merc....so I dug it and out poped the '18 Merc from around 7"-8".
The 1916 plain
date was found Thurs near the area where I found the Barber Q. I would be lying to you guys if I told you that my heart wasn't racing when I first saw 1916. That good ole pump of mine started beating soooo fast.....but only until I turned the dime around, and let me tell you....it was a slow turn over as i was praying for the "D".
Nice meeting everyone else at the hunt today, Todd and Rob, and
(sorry)
All in all a good hunt with good people and great weather and digging conditions.
