Filled in beaches

i was planning to go beach hunting later but read an earlier article about a local beach repair going on. they plan on dumping a good amount of sand. as i was looking into this, i noticed that the beaches had a long history of beach fill ins. is it still worth trying to go? any help would be great. thanks.

SST is right + who knows where that sand came from. Might be better treasure in it!

I'd check where was the sand taken out maybe you will be closer to the hard sand where items can't go any deeper in that spot
