Finally...a complete shoe buckle

I have found many bits and pieces of colonial shoe buckles until today, when I found this complete brass shoe buckle. It dates from 1772 to 1796. It made my day, week, month and season....Lance

Great buckle man! I am like you, I have found a bunch of pieces and they are pretty old ornate ones, but never a whole one. Your lucky its all brass.........Aaron

I think I might have one of the little #39's. I'll have to look at it again, I thought it might just be an old bra strap, but maybe not...
