Hello All. OK, I finally found a clay marble at a c1900 home site here in Central Florida.

It's about 5/8-IN in diameter, lighter than a glass marble of equal size, and looks pretty crudely made.

I guess these things are not worth anything but I am still interested in its value and more importantly, how old is it??

Thanks for any info and Good Luck out there. C9

Hello cambria09,

Those are fun to find! They were made for decades, maybe a century. I'd put it mid 1800s to early 1900s. Good luck finding more!

Hello cheese. Common and worthless but old...one out of three will do.

Thanks for the reply and info...nice to know that's it's likely an antique.

Good Luck out there. C9

Congrats on the clay marble! It is always fun to find a personal item. :occasion14:

Isn't it annoying how the ones you think should be worth the most.... aren't.
Either way I say congratulations on what I consider to be a great find.
You've got me beat... I've never found a clay marble.
