Finally found First 2017-P cent

Got a $50 bag of cents from one of my banks that sells me their bags about two weeks ago. I'm about half through checking, normal finds at 12-wheats, 15% coppers, and finally my first 2017-P cent (actually 6-so far in half the bag). I've got a couple of my banks to watch for a full box for me, just like the 2009 cent series.

I try to find those but all i can find is 2017 d cents

I had a bag a few weeks ago with about 5 of them in in it. I didn't find a reason to keep them so back out into the wild they went. I should've taken a picture of one of those "take a penny, leave a penny" trays at a store, had about 30 2017 P's in it.

I sold a few boxes of 2017 D on eBay- not sure why anyone wants those - it's the 17 P that's unique, lol. I haven't seen a 17 P yet. West coast: they don't migrate out here to often. Same with 2009 P Nickels - I've found 4 P vs about 6 rolls of D.

They're special because this is the 225th anniversary of the mint. This is the first coin given a P mint mark (except for the wartime nickels). They go back to no mint mark next year.

My bank has been giving me whole rolls of the 2017P's for change in my cash drawer at work. Should I keep them?

I would keep them IF they are completely new BU rolls, at least until the dust settles down on the subject. I still only find one here & there but in rough condition, not BU.

I sold a bunch on Ebay; but once more sellers where posting up rolls for sale the profit margin became nil after fees and it wasn't worth it. I held onto the rolls that had the nicest enders and have just under a box left of rolls that I have to open in the event someone finds a worthwhile error to look for.
