Finally got a good one

Been hunting farm fields for around 4 years and river banks for 3 and Ive never found a nice complete native point until today. Found along the river laying on top the clay Didnt find anything with the metal detector but didnt really care after this one. Its a little over an inch in length and no idea on age

Thanks. Really happy with it but would like to know if it is closer to 500 or 5000 years. Seems to be on the older side to me compared to what my few others look like

Did a search and it looks like an Adena point. According to one source dated at: Late Archaic to Woodland, 3000 - 1800 B.P. The example pictured in my book under the North Eastern Section, was under the heading, 'Adena-Robbins' and was found in Middlesboro, MA., and looks nearly identical (stemmed form). (Overstreet, 14th ed.)
