well I think I figured out one thing I was doing wrong with my Terra 70 along with the help from all on the GB issue I had the threshold way to low I turned it up 3 nothes ( what do all of you set the threshhold at?) and bam I started finding coins in a place I missed them Before today's finds were nothing special but I'm happy mu confidence level is improved and that's pretty important I was ready to give up bcuz I was only finding coins 3" max today I found a lawn mowed penny at 8"s that alone told me I was doing OK so in 20 minutes after I got the settings right I found

7 pennies
2 dimes
and a 2001 $2 Canadian coin? I've never seen one of those before! Queen Elizabeth II and Canada 2 dollars on the back with a bear the center is a gold color with silver outside the pics. It weighs 7.5grams our kennedy half $ weighs 11.3grams LOL
Not a lot but I have a full day tomorrow two hunt so hopefully I'll fill my pockets!

Sounds like youre on youre way...

That's called a MOONEY in Canada... Queen on the front with a bear behind. Unfortunately it's worth more than $2 US these days.

Nice job!! Sounds like you had an excellent day! ;D

The 2 dollars is called a twoney and the 1 dollar is a looney
because it has a looney (duck) on the back of it.
nice finds

It took me some time to figure things out. The thing is in Idaho most of the ground is clay so if they havent moved much soil in most things are close to the top. Not sure how far down things might go.
