FINALLY got my 1800's Barber dime!
The first pic is from a hunt a few days ago with D-Dub and Watercolor at the "Awesome" grove. Finds are thinning out, and we'll have to wait till fall or spring to hit the other areas there. Found the Roosie right off the river, and only a couple inches deep.
I went out for a couple of hours today at a different location that I have hit before, but something was pulling me to go back there. I'm sure glad I did, as the first signal not even 5 mins into the hunt, I got a 12-44 @ 6". Out popped the 1892 Barber dime. I've found 12 Barber dimes this year so far, but this is the first one from the 1800's. One year away from another seated....maybe there's one hiding there somewhere
Also foud a 1912 and 1924 Wheaties.
I took my camera along the last two hunts to get the dirt pics for you guys that like 'em.
It's in pretty bad shape, as there were a lot of rocks mixed with the soil there. Must have scratched the surface of it.
Enjoy and HH!
