I got out with my wife and kids to one of the old Pittsburgh parks this morning. I was working an old walking trail that has given me silver coins and older coppers in the past. Not much left except for a few thousand pull tabs

Out pops a nice wedding band. Acid tests at 18k
No markings. And has some weight to it at 3.5 grams

Takes my 1.5 year gold ring total to 6. But the first for this year

Acid test shows. From left 10k. 14k. 18k. Fails at 22k

Congrats ! 18 K no less! Very nice! These past two years I have found 0 gold. rings. I'm still looking, but not today.

Thanks guys. I started out the year killing it finding at least 5-7 silvers a week. But haven't struck silver in over 2 months now. Was nice to get some gold in the hole

Sweet gold! But I sure like your avatar!! VN!!

The one in my avatar is a 1951 Pitt class ring

I found it with a $20 bounty hunter and it paid for my eurotek pro that I have used for the last 1 1/2 years
