We got a teaser day today,71 degrees,tomorrow back to 40 and rain. Went out for an hour after work. Found some clad and this button. I know it's not that old,but I wonder how old. Any info would be apprieciated. Probably off some kids winter coat. LOL

Looks like a navy cuff button,civil/post civil war...just my guess but there are people her that will nail it, If you can read the words on the back it would help...nice job TnT

I think you have a Navy button. As the anchor ring is not clear I can't tell if you have a NA 113 or 114. If the rope goes through the ring then I think it is NA 113 if not then 114. These were in use from 1850s till 1941. There were many varities but most list back stamps. If you have access to the book: Record of American Uniform and historcal Buttons, by alphaeus H. albert, check out the pictures on page 102 and read the descriptions on page 103.
