Went out yesterday to my favorite old park in town. Finished up work early and had about 3 hours to kill so I decided to hunt the back side of the park...a side I'd never really hit hard before. Last year I spent about 45 minutes walking through this area quickly and found TONS of beer caps and pulltabs...(there is a lot of homeless in the area and the back side of the park is where a lot "live" during the evening hours). So I have never gone back after the quick scouting hunt last year....until yesterday!
Found a pretty awesome amount of clad in 3 hours: $3.87 in "good shape" coin, and another 20 toasted Pennies. Not too shabby. Got a few miscellaneous old metal pieces (washers/grommets etc) and some interesting junk jewelry!
Side by side, I pulled these junker jewelry pieces from the ground. Sat just under surface at the base of the tree. One is complete and the other is missing the chain and "stone". Let me know if anyone knows what this would be! Thanks. Just curious.
And the find of the day: I got a good solid 87-89 signal on the GB Pro. Thought for sure a quarter (since I'd been finding quite a bit)! About 3" down into the plug I see a fat silver rim...then I realize: it's a RING! [emoji106]🏻 I knew right away I had silver due to the high signal, but I was hoping for platinum
still haven't found one of them! Anyways, it's stamped "AGI 925" so probably isn't very old. A little lite tarnishing but clean other than that! 4th good ring of the month....(2 gold 10K, this 925 silver and a fat brass ring found at the same park earlier in the month). Not too shabby!
