Finally, i got outside!

Ya been brutal here in PA all winter and have not been able to pierce the frozen tundra in months. Today I just couldn't take it anymore so I crawled under my deck where there is no snow and started popping out targets with my new at pro. Nothing too exciting but at least I pulled things out of the ground. I toy gun part from I'm guessing the 50s and a few coins from the 60s and 70s. The items on the left are a mystery to me however.

I have resorted to going through some boxes in the garage in hopes of "rediscovering" something... I actually found a few things I have been meaning to clean up for years so i'm getting by!

-15 forecasted here in Maine tonight :-( I'm going out Saturday to detect some nasty mucky mud flats that are attached to one of my sites. I just CANNOT take it any more. I don't care if I dig anything. There are a couple of enormous bald eagles that usually hover around this site. That's good enough for me :-)

There was a thaw in New England. I could dig about an 1" in some places. A day later, snow. Also, that coin on the left looks a bit like a euro coin, I'm not sure though (I do not know the denomination).

Ya I was out during that one hammering my probe into the ground with my digger, prying what I could from the frozen tundra. I'll be trying it again this Sunday, with gloves on this time!

Looks like we're all getting very inventive finding ways to MD in this wacky winter that won't go away!
