Finally my Morgan I've Been Waiting for and it is a Beauty

Have not had much time to hunt lately or time to post pics. All my spare time lately has been spent working on the house and getting ready for my third little ones arrival in November. I've still been sneaking out at lunchtime to the local parks and here are my keepers. These parks have been hammered to death so my latest strategy has been to pick out a promising area then go super slow over it. Taking little baby steps and overlapping my coil swings two or three times for each little patch of ground. It seems to be paying off.

My favorite find from August because I've been hoping to find one for a long time was the 1885 O Morgan Dollar. If is in awesome shape, details are sharp and it has a full Liberty. Other keepers included a 1943 Walking Liberty Half, 1927 Standing Liberty Qr, 1891 Seated Dime, 1917, 23, 29 Mercury Dimes, 1864 2 Center, 1906 & 07 Indian Heads and a 1857 Flying Eagle (not in great shape but I don't find too many)

A broken 1940s or 50s Texaco key chain, Two dogs with the word 'Listen' under them. Back reads: TEXACO A.E. Co Utica NY

Mystery item: Maybe another key chain. Has a Woman with what I believe is fire coming from her extended arm and a shield leaning against her side. I think it reads: HTA INC (not sure) The back is blank.

Two modern tokens: Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority tokens. Even though these are newer I still really like them. Back reads: Triborough Bronze Whitestone Verrazano Narrows Brooklyn Battery Queens midtown Throgsneck M.

Another mystery item. I thought it was some sort of makers plate. I think the front reads: PREMIER Widimer's BOSTON Distributor 4304. I assume the number is a serial number for something. Approx 1 1/2 inches across.

Junque - Closes to gold I came was a 10K G.F. "Dee Bee" ring.

Foreign coin - Anyone know where it is from and how old. Found on top of the ground so I don't think it is old at all.

Thanks for looking. I hope someone can help ID the mystery items.

Thats a great looking fob, I think I've seen that image on a w.w. 1 or 2 poster. HTA could stand for heavier-than-air . Great bunch of finds , I am still looking for my first morgan. :icon_thumleft:

NJ, you are doing well in those parks.

You have 3 coins still on my list.

The Morgan, the flying eagle and the 2 center.

Congratulations on some fine hunting.

Thanks guys...the parks have been treating me well. One of them the grounds have been in constant use since the 1600s so you never know what is going to turn up. There are four small city parks close to where I work that I hunt and I've found all sorts of great stuff from Spanish cobs, hard times tokens to the grouping above.

I would still rather be out in the woods at a good old American Revolution War site.

Deno...I know what it is like to have things hanging over your head from your wish list. I've had a NJ Copper on mine since I started detecting and it still eludes me...would also like to find a trime someday.

Happy hunting all
