As some of you may know, I was out of the game for a while. I was bitten by a tick and was being treated for Lyme disease. But I’m done with the meds now and able to swing again.

Got out today and got a 1906 O Barber quarter, a 1903 V nickel, and an unknown date Wheat. It was great to get out again!!

Glad to see you're back in the game!! Great first day back!!!

Thank you! I have been chomping at the bit to get Buford out and let him sniff the ground! Thank you again!!

Nice finds and glad you are on the mend. I had Lyme last summer and took antibiotics for 6 months to cure it.

Wow!!! I guess I caught mine early enough and got on the meds. Just happy to be out again in the sun!!!!

Glad u fully recovered. 😁 Nice first day back hunt!! 🙌

I had it almost 20 years ago and waited to long to see a doctor. I had a fever spike hitting almost 105 and couldn't walk my body hurt so bad. I finally found the bullseye on my neck and only being 18 was poor so I went to a vet and he tested and treated me. Still even when I get a small cold my body hurts terrible.

Wow! I hate to hear that. Just hope I caught mine quick!!

Good to see you back at again. Nice finds.
How long were you down for? That stuff is no joke.

I was down for about a month or more. I was sooo ready to get back out again. Felt good to feel the dirt!! Best medicine around!!!

That’s a beautiful barber quarter. Congrats. Nice to see you out and about again. Take care.

Glad to hear you are feeling well enough to get out hunting. Congrats on some nice finds too!

Glad your doing ok, and it looks like you had a very nice first day back out.

Nice finds and best wishes. I've had it twice and happen to be blessed enough that the test is never positive. The first time I got Bell's Palsy from it and couldn't control my facial muscles for year or so. The second time I got cellulitis from it which is what you get right before the flesh eating virus. I think I still have some level of it in my body because now anytime I get any kind of a tick bite every bite I've ever had starts itching like crazy. I wake up every morning feeling like I played pro football all night but still consider myself lucky. An acquaintance in town got bitten by a Lone Star tick while on a wilderness retreat. Now if he would try and eat red meat he'd become violently ill, and that's going to be for life. That tic is so small they could hold a square dance on a match head, but they sure pack a punch.

Congratulations on the Barber and V.
Got pictures of Buford? lol

Good to hear you're hunting again.Congrats :icon_thumright:

I feel lucky so far. Nothing has happened yet. Just trying not to get bit again, but I know it’s coming. The headache and fever I was dealing with, but not getting out was driving me nuts!! Figured I’d take it slow and get used to the machine again!!

Haha!! No pictures of Buford until he gets a bath!!

Congrats on getting out again AND the Barber quarter.

It is 100 percent curable. It just depends on how soon it is diagnosed and treated as to what long term effect it has on your body.
