After 10 or so trips to the SC coast without gold I made a low tide spin on Saturday. After 3 hours of nothing in the wet sand I gave up and headed back to the car between the high tide ripple trough and white sand and what do you know! Bam. 14kt band. 4.3 grams. Heading back down in two weeks. Can't wait. First gold at the beach in over a year.

A 14kt gold ring is always a nice score.......and sometimes found where you least expect it......Great find....Good Luck....thanks for sharing.

Msbeepbeep... No kidding. Happens all the time. The reality is I keep telling myself I'm leaving then turn around one more time. That could have something to do with it.

Congrats on the ring. Getting my chance at the gold on the beach next week. Will have been a year in May for me to have picked up some gold from beach. Joining the MB Pirates for their club meting on Saturday.
