Finally something to post about...

Hi Gang!

Have had a couple of back surgeries, so haven't been out alot, and of course it's been raining here in Oregon for 6 months..LOL!
Anyway, had a brief window of non-rain, (no sun) so headed to an elementary school nearby. Most of the schools are virgin territory, so I'm lucky..
I found this token? Coin? today. it was about 9" down and my Tesoro Cortez was screaming SILVER!
It says "Wells Fargo" on the front top, and "since 1852" on the front bottom...Weird there are no spokes in the wheels...And the edges feel and look like a quarter. The back has the eagle, 18 stars and "HM" between it's legs..(hallmark?)

The next photos are the funny guy on a rectangular plaque? No holes in it or missing pin on the back..Very heavy, brass or copper? He was about 7" down, rang up as a nickel.

I also collected ALOT of clad, about 6 bucks in quarters and dimes..No nickels today..Weird..Alot of pennies, as usual..LOL!!

Almost looks like Han Solo frozen in carbonite.

Nice finds! I love finding tokens as much if not more than finding coins.
