Hard work finally paid off - 1943 quarter on the golf course... it was going to be the last signal I dug, and I really didn't think it was going to be this... bounced between 39-42, which I thought was weird - only about 4"... but it was stuck to the bottom of the plug when I flipped it over... always a sweet sight.

Welcome to TN,great find! I love my 505, very user friendly.

Congrats on the silver! It's happened to me more than once - it's getting late, I'm making my way back towards the car, get a signal and dig "one more for the road" and it turns out to be something sweet.

Wow, how did you get permission to hunt on a golf course? ??? Congrats on the silver quarter. :occasion14:

Nice job on the silver.

Good job on the silver....Hunting on a golf course.....They are usually pretty picky about people digging up their lawn...

Wow, I wish they would allow hunting on the golf courses around here.

I hope you got permission I think they would not like that!!Great find its always sweet finding silver I'm sure there will be lots more hope to see some soon Thanks for the post!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice silver recovery, congratulations! :occasion14:

You do NOT need permission to hunt SOME golf courses. I pulled over 100 barber coins out of one and the gold eagle I found. Lets not judge. In fact I am going back as soon as I get back to Utah.

Nice quarter. It is very possible someone used it as a ball marker.

The city owns the land that the golf course is on in my town. I have always wanted to hunt it but wasn't quit sure how others would feel about that.

Just look at that baby shine! Congrats. -Lisa & John

Just keep shouting four as you swing your tector and ask to play thru! :laughing7:

Hi folks - been away for a bit, haven't been feeling well and wife has had surgery, so I've been a little preoccupied.

As for permission - absolutely I've gotten permission from them, and they don't care, as long as I'm not interfering with the players, and don't hunt too close to the greens or fairways. I would never hunt anywhere without asking permission first if needed.
