Hi everyone!! Been a few weeks since I was able to get out and swing the coil. Decided to road trip it out of town on the 9th. What a waste of time and gas!! Hit a few small towns in west central IL. Parks had long since been picked clean. Managed only a '13 wheatie (not pictured) and my oldest indian (1865; full liberty too!!), so I guess it wasn't a total loss.
Headed back to the burbs on Sunday to try a school site. Ended up with 2 Roosies ('62d, '47d) and a merc ('42s). Also got a small heart shaped pendant w/ stones that I hope is sterling (rang up like silver; mark is too small to tell); we'll see about the stones. And, of course, I also got 4 wheats (teens- '50s; not pictured).
Got a chance to hit a private yard (a passerby had a relative lose jewelry) too! Didn't find the jewelry piece, but did get a tootsietoy car and a '41 wheat.
Dug a whopping $21.63 in clad, including 79 quarters!! That's one quarter shy of an even $20!! Not a one day record for me (I think back in 2010 I had a day where I dug $22 something in clad w/ the Ace 250), but still pretty darn good!!
I'm now at 70 silver coins and 15 indians for the year.
Pics are below. Enjoy!!
