I met John for breakfast this am. We got started and hunted hard for about 5 hours. It just never ceases to amaze me how new targets reappear after a couple weeks! I am a firm believer no site is ever really hunted out. We have taken hundreds of bullets out of this field and we still find these today! Soil conditions change, more moisture or less moisture, porosity of the soil. Atmospheric conditions I believe also play a role. The finds from some areas grow weaker but in a few weeks or months there are signals everywhere. We had a great day tempts in the middle 60's. We found this camp almost one year to the day and and it is still producing well! Enough of the rambling and on with the pictures! Have a great Thanksgiving, and one note to the football gods, please let the Chiefs beat the Bronco's tomorrow night. I'm out, Tsgman

TSG,

nice group of artifacts.

Agree that any location is never hunted
out. You just never know.

Hey tsgman-you had a good hunt today!Like seeing all those bullets.Bet you had a blast out there today. The weather is beautiful right now.Happy Thanksgiving and HH.

Great digs and I agree. Over here or any where there are very old Iron targets in the ground ,that has a big effect on one of my detectors. The halo effect plays a big part.

Wow, that is a nice haul for one days work! Still waiting to find my first legit eagle button. They like to elude me.

Grib, it will come, I remember when I found my first CW button. I will never forget that! It was a General staff cuff button. When I dug that I knew I was in the camp I was looking for. In the next few trips to that spot we dug around 100 bullets most were 69 caliber, The sad part was shortly after they developed the property and scraped all the top soil into several piles. We would sweep over the piles and pull out 69's left and right. Then it turned into a gated community. I feel like I rescued a lot of relics that would have ended up destroyed or under homes and roads. This all occured about 1999. HH, Tsgman
