After knocking on the door for the past year I finally met the neighbor that lives in this beauty. She said have at it, so I spent several hours over 3 days and came away with a nice little snapshot of the past.

1848 braided hair
1944 war nickel
1943 merc
2 dirty wheats
Don't know what the square-holed disc is. Very colorful and smooth on one side only.
3 round balls, all 30 grams and 2 at .69 inches.
Not sure about the other round with the slot and hole through it.
The batman shaped thing is filled with lead. Dont know what it is.
Can someone tell if the big buckle is for animal or human use?
Thank you GM

Beautiful batwing buckle! Looks like your patience and persistence paid off! Old silver, copper etc...that is a great day...Ddf.

The buckle is a 19th C Horse Harness Buckle.

People can call it what they like but it doesn't make it 18th C Military.

The square-holed disc is possibly a Chinese coin. Many were lost by early migrant workers.

Nice diggin' on a cool permission. Like the buckle, very nice. Congrats!

A Chinese coin should have markings on both sides, not just one. IMO, it's more likely a wick winder knob from an oil lamp.

Awesome hunt, nice buckles, congratulations
