Here's a couple picks of my finds from the past couple of days. I probably wont be out again till next week. By that time, I know I'll be itching to get out.

If anyone knows much about the Illinois pin, I'd like to know more about it.

Thanks for looking,

Mike

SWEET FINDS!!

Hello Mike,, I don't think I've seen any of your post yet, so welcome to the forum...
Great digs,,, WTG!!! I have only found one of those (3) ringers, but it sure was a treat to find here in Indiana... I didn't think I would ever recover anything from the civil war era...
Continued Good luck, & Happy hunting~

Good Going! The Ill. badge is called a veteran's badge. after one year of enlistment, US Soldiers could buy them from a suttler and take it home after the war. I recovered an indiana badge at Hartsville, TN. The current North and South Trader price guide values them at $350. Rare find!

Super nice finds

Great finds...congrats on the badge!!!

Lots of lead. I like it!

Thanks for the replies everyone,

Vol, that's some neat info on the badge, I appreciate it! I bet the poor soldier who lost it was sure proud it it. "Personal" items like this sure make this hobby fun.

Thanks,

Mike

Hey Mike, if you need a back up hunter to go with you, let this old Buckeye know. LOL, I'll be right down.

Those are some really GREAT finds. You must have some private land that no one has ever hunted. Hope you find many more great finds there before the whole world finds out where it is.

HH, Ringfinder
