The first couple of pics are of an object found around an old cabin site last weekend...Any help on id'ing? Is this a fishing weight? Next are of some flint pieces found this weekend in Georgetown TX. Are they points, preforms, or just junk? Also found some nice pieces of flint lying about...All help appreciated,
Sean

Hey,

The first is a mystery...trying to figure out what it is made from....looks sort of like pottery but then not....its a little small and the hole large for a fishing weight.....it actually looks like a tumblebug ball except for the hole...LOL.

The rest of the flint items are cores and preforms. Maybe someone will have an idea on the round object.

The round object looks like a clay bead to me,

I have one about that size,( grey clay ) the hole looks a little large for a bead though .

Fossis................

I don't know about the first one but the rest of them are definitely keepers. They look like they might have been made by Indian kids learning the trade. That's just my guess though. one looks like a pretty good knife too!!!
