I park my SUV and then I walk Exactly 100 paces south, 20 paces east, and then start searching. Just Kiddin Ya' :laughing7:.
All you can do is pick a spot of beach and work your way out and around. Try to do it in a Grid Pattern so you can sorta tell where you've been and where you need to go. Thing is tho' every day the beach changes due to weather, wind, tides, etc., So what wasn't there yesterday may be there today.

ain't that the truth. I got a pair of frogstogs and don't go deep in them at all because of the "fill up with cold water" thing.

At least you're getting something. My last three trips have been sparkler wires/crabtrap pieces and can slaw. Hopefully at the next really low tide the sand will be shorter and hits will be better.

Thanks davest for your reply. OK, I have only been detecting since April 2009, and I haven't Mastered all the Terminology for Metal Detecting, I Guess that Frogstogs is Boot Waders and can slaw is Buried Aluminum Cans, Bottle and Pop Tops - Right????
