I've been searching this property all summer as the land is logged to make way for a new equestrian facility, over time the dozer keeps nicking the top of a deep dump with lots of early glass and these style artifacts, does anyone know what the brass pin is that looks kinda like a shooting star, it is at the top of the second and third photo's. A civil war cartridge box plate came off of this property last summer by my detecting buddy so I wonder if this is a related item.

Thanks for looking and HH.

Good stuff man! Congrats! The shooting star looks more like a shield to me.
