Fire zone

Sunday's deer hunt ended up in the recent fire zone. This particular complex of fires started out as several lightening strikes, and those separate fires all burned together and destryoed over 70,000 acres.
This was my first view of the burned area.


Congratulations Sierra Club, you won. I'm sure the spotted owls are happy with you saving all their critical nesting habitat.

The only good things to come from a fire zone are Morel Mushrooms and renewed life in the spring.

It sucks! Cheto bar fire....191,121 acres burned just a few miles from my place. Our prime hunting grounds..... closed!!
