nice , but half cents are smaller ! finds 005.webp

really? i have a half cent and it looked slightly bigger to me, oh well

Nice job with the 3 cent! Those are hard to hear! I've only found one thus far! Cleaning?? Well it's a personal decision. Mine wasnt pristine and it was a little bent so I put a little silver polish and put it in the case. If you even think you have something, dont mess with it too much! Just my thought.

this puppy is 1829 half dime, with a 1905 barber dime , 1929 walking liberty quarter ,a 1903 ih

the 5c is 15 mm

Congratulations on finding your first Trime! I'm still hoping to find one myself. They are so small you'd think more of them would've been lost.

I'd zap it, but that's just me..... If you do Zap it thought don't do it for very long with lots of power.... You'll fry that thing like fried dough.... You know what try to use the Aluminum foil, Water and banking soda electrolysis first.

yea the aluminum baking soda... is the only one i feel comfortable tryin

Great find. I dug one this past summer - it was an 1853 too. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/t...cent-other-colonial-relics-lots-pictures.html
Since there is really not a key date or valuable coin you might consider hitting it with a low dose of electrolysis for 15 or 20 seconds. I dug a 1/2 Reale that looked a lot like your Trime and it came out looking great. Since it has 25% copper content it might not come out as good as an all silver coin. Either way, congrats!

I can't wait to find my first silvers or any old coins for that matter and have to worry about how to clean it!!!! great find

great find. my cuz has been looking for one so he can always put in his two cents worth and have change left over.
don't drink and drive you may spill your drink.

thanks screwynewy i'll keep it in mind

Looks good to me just the way you found it.

yea may just leave well enough alone

Sweet find, they are a tough one to find. I found one and a half lol... Again great find!

If it's not perfect, it's a nice size for a ring, just secured in a setting, not bent or ruined.

Very nice find, one of my favorites. Congrats to you and I would certainly shine it up a bit. More rewarding to look at.

I found a Barber that was tarnished pretty bad. Water & baking soda did an awesome job shining it up. Stay away from vinegar and mess like that!!! Nice find btw!

Those silver 3 centers are too cute. Hard to believe they ever had a use.
I've only found one so far; an 1852. And I thought it was play money until I saw that date !!
