Normally, "Good For" tokens were issued by Merchants as gifts or exchange to attract customers back to the store, just like the coupons in the Sunday paper. They normally range from a nickle to a quarter.

Hope this helps!!!

A cool token from days-gone-by. Probably at least 30 years old, maybe even back to the 30's or 40's.
A very cool find nonetheless!!!
From one NEWBIE to another, nice work!!!
:D

I found an identical token at a sidewalk strip just a few months ago. A month later, I saw another guy find a similar one that was for two or three cents. I'd love to know exactly what time span this type token was issued.

My token book says the following about this token:
"NUMBERED SLOT MACHINE TOKENS: 1890's-1940's - Tokens with thousands of different numbers are known. The numbers represent individual machines or machine operators or businesses. The numbers range from 0 to the 35,000's, plus some higher numbers.
Values: Shown for your token.
a) Nickel-size tokens: 1) With central hole: 5cents-15cents value.

This book was written in 1992, so I tend to double or sometimes even triple prices as tokens are starting to be collected more these days and values are going up.
